BACKGROUND

The project EU Regional Action for Roma Education: Increased Education Support and Opportunities for Roma Students in the Western Balkans and Turkey (RARE), phase II constitutes a second phase of the already-implemented project during 2018-2021 by REF.

During the first phase of the project, the education services provided through the seven project countries (Albania – ALB; Bosnia and Herzegovina – BIH; Kosovo – KOS; Montenegro – MNE; North Macedonia – MAC; Serbia – SER; Turkey – TUR) amounted to involving more than 4500 Roma children and youth (from all educational levels) in education activities. The present project continues the gains and results of the initial project, while, at the same time, creating a well-founded base for children and youth inclusion and participation in education.

OBJECTIVE

The project “Increasing Access and Participation of Roma Students in Tertiary Education and Transition to Labour Market through Employability”, intend to increase access and participation of Roma students in tertiary education and transition to labour market. These activities are to be implemented through academic tutoring, mentoring, and other professional development services – internships, tailored trainings in professional development, computer courses, foreign language competences etc. The activities will serve to increase the employability potential of the young Roma in the labour market.

CONDITION FOR APPLICATION

This is a merit-based academic scholarship for Roma students who are citizens or permanent residents of Albania. Eligible applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor, Master, or PhD level, in state-accredited universities in Albania.

Selected applicants will be given the opportunity to benefit from mentorship, tutoring, soft-skills workshops, internship opportunities enabling access to the labour market.

EVALUATION PROCEDURE AND ANNOUNCEMENT

The interested candidate must apply through the online module. The project implementation team will review each application, and the best ones will advance to the interview round.

The applicants may receive the maximum 50 points, based on the following:

  • 5 to 10 points based on the GPA (according to the last academic years’ official list of grades).
  • 0 to 10 points for extracurricular activities.
  • 0 to 10 points for socioeconomic status (based on a self-declaration statement).
  • 0 to 10 points for the applicant\’s motives (in a motivational letter).
  • 5 additional points for female applicants.
  • 5 additional points for applicants supported during academic year 2024-2025.

The list shall be generated, from the applicant with the highest points, and will decrease until the 50th student.

Each candidate has the right to appeal, within a period of 3 days from the day of announcement of the results, the candidate may send it complain through e-mail to rva@rvalb.org The appeal must be justified, and to have attached the supported documents to the complaint. Complaints which are not justified by official documents will not be considered. Responding to the complaint filed will be given within three (3) days.

With the approved beneficiary students, a contract will be stipulated that will include the obligations and rights of the Project (signed by the Executive Director of Roma Versitas Albania), the student (signed by the student).

The beneficiary of this project will be discontinued participation in the project in case of presentation of invalid documents, false information, and if the recipient does not show progress (progress) in study and / or in case of abandonment of the studies/university.

Ky informacion detajon thirrjen për aplikime për projektin TER-ALB-03 për vitin akademik 2025-2026, i cili synon studentët Romë dhe Egjiptianë në nivelet Bachelor, Master dhe PhD në universitetet e akredituara.

Këtu janë pikat kryesore të njoftimit:

📍 QËLLIMI DHE QYTETET

  • Targeti: Studentë Romë dhe Egjiptianë.
  • Nivelet: Bachelor, Master dhe PhD.
  • Qytetet Target: Tiranë, Elbasan, Korçë, Vlorë, Gjirokastër dhe Shkodër.
  • Përjashtim: Aplikantet vajza mund të aplikojnë edhe nëse janë jashtë këtyre rretheve.

PROCESI I VLERËSIMIT

  1. Vlerësimi i Aplikimeve: Stafi zbatues i projektit vlerëson të gjitha aplikimet.
  2. Faza e Intervistimit: Aplikimet më të suksesshme kalojnë në fazën e intervistimit.
  3. Zhvillimi i Intervistave:
    • Në zyrat e Roma Versitas Albania. (Kini parasysh se, në rast mosparaqitjeje në ditën e intervistës, aplikimi do të skualifikohet automatikisht).

KRITERET E APLIKIMIT

📝 Kriteret Themelore:

  • Të jenë studentë/e Romë ose Egjiptianë që e deklarojnë hapur përkatësinë etnike.
  • Të jenë duke frekuentuar aktualisht një nga universitetet e akredituara në vend për vitin akademik 2025-2026.
  • Të kenë plotësuar formularin e aplikimit.

📝 Dokumentet e nevojshme (të skanuara):

  • Dokument identifikimi (Kartë identiteti ose pasaportë).
  • Vërtetim që janë duke frekuentuar universitetin për vitin akademik 2025-2026.
  • Listën e notave të vitit të fundit akademik 2(Studentët e vitit të parë duhet të dorëzojnë Diplomën e Shkollës së Mesme së bashku me listën e notave).

📝 Kritere plotësuese (Përparësi):

  • Studentët me rezultate të mira akademike.
  • Studentët që kanë ide të qarta dhe mund të përshkruajnë mirë qëllimet lidhur me arsimimin e tyre.
